Ongoing partnership under Coaching and Mentorship Program
We believed that coaching, which is an effective tool for leadership development in the corporate world, was the ideal solution to empower Sristi and her team at Blind Rocks!
The success of the coaching sessions encouraged us to explore and put in place a wider, more extensive and multi-layered structure.
When Sristi K C, the founder of Blind Rocks!, an NGO in Nepal that supports the empowerment of blind people, approached us with a wish list of support services that would enhance her leadership impact, improve her project’s operational efficiency and enable its growth, we saw an opportunity for trialing coaching as a volunteered activity. It is after all better to teach one to fish than to feed them. We believed that coaching, which is an effective tool for leadership development in the corporate world, was the ideal solution to empower Sristi and her team at Blind Rocks!.
Pearl Panthaki, a highly experienced corporate executive coach and NLP practitioner, volunteered to coach Sristi on her leadership impact. A structured coaching program for an initial 6 sessions was agreed upon and ran from August to October 2019.
“Our first task was to identify her goals and then break them into short, medium and long term goals. We then broke each goal into a 30, 60, 90 day road-map.’ Pearl reported about her early sessions “We also worked on her communication skills. Clear thinking translates to clear speaking. I showed her a simple technique using a pyramid format that she could use to structure her thoughts. This proved valuable when she delivered her Ted Talk last year.”
